"Colton is a Charismatic performer who doesn't
do anything that seems insincere on stage....With a soaring
voice and strong pen, she is not afraid to tackle dark
subjects."

Bio:
It’s obvious from her playful way
with words and her gift with a tune that she was born to
entertain. Nancy Colton has that special spark: A rare ability
to make us feel. By using her smooth "velvet vocals-with bite"
and her witty and fluid style, Nancy Colton lures her audience
in completely.
Nancy Colton is no stranger to the
stage. She has been performing since age 3, including NBC’s
hit, Northern Exposure, and she is still active in film and
television. Locally, Nancy draws in audiences as the featured
singer/songwriter in Seattle hot spots such as Madison’s, The
Tractor, The Crocodile Café, and Starbucks.
Since the
completion of her self-titled CD in July 1998, Nancy has been
very busy. She has been touring nationally and has shared the
stage with artists such as Peter Mulvey, Vince Gill, Pierce
Pettis, Jonathan Kingham, and Restless Heart. Nancy
participates in festivals, such as Riverfest at the Gorge,
workshops, contests, and showcases.
As of Nancy’s most
recent accomplishments and plans for the future, she was
nominated for Best Female Vocalist for the SAMIE awards ‘00,
was selected as 1st runner-up for Lilith Fair 1999, chosen as
Top Emerging Songwriter for Lakefolkfest, has her song "Wear
Your Life" in a feature film, performed at Bumbershoot ’99,
and plans to tour the West Coast early summer with association
of "Persephone’s Circle". She plans to head back to Nashville
this spring for one of her regular visits to work with top
songwriters and publishers. Whether it’s with her band or
solo, Nancy delivers an honest mix of sensitivity and
guts.
A student of love and live, Nancy has that
special knack for writing clever songs which still express
true emotions; telling stories of struggle and the resilient
human spirit. Bringing the intangibles of life, reaching the
spirit, and creating fluid emotion through liquid songs, Nancy
Colton gives us well crafted tunes that are up-beat and
entertaining, while luring us into her world of
passion.
